This event is free and open 24/7! Come out and enjoy our Fourth Annual Polartry Poetry Walk! It’s a fun, free public art project with original poetry on display under the beautiful lights in the City Park. Our goal is to celebrate a love of language that inspires and promotes poets of all ages, while also providing outdoor public art that encourages people to get outside and make the most of winter in Minnesota.

16th Annual Poles N Holes ice fishing derby sponsored by Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club, this derby raises funds to support area literacy, youth sports, senior citizen programs and community projects.

This first year will be limited to experienced hockey players only, with grand plans of expanding to all ages and skill levels in years to come. Come down in front of the Pavilion to watch 30 minute games of 4 vs 4 going on all day Saturday and Sunday.

Come join the fun and walk or run the Freeze Your Buns 5k. The race will start at the DLCCC Parking lot, move south on Summit to West Lake drive, head west to Legion Road, down past Snappy park, turn east on Willow Street, turn north on Rossman Ave to Holmes street and then head back to the DLCCC parking on Summit Ave.

Professional flyers will bring their spectacular, giant kites to color the skies! Kites range in size from 10’ to 100’! Bring your own kite to fly along with the pros! On Little Detroit Lake near West Lake Drive in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
