Come join the fun and walk or run the Freeze Your Buns 5k on Saturday, February 14th. On-line registration closes on February 12th at 11:59p and walk-up registration begin at 7:30am on the day of the race. First 80 people get a limited edition DLCCC Freeze Your Buns gear. The race will begin in the DLCCC parking lot at 8:30am. This is not a closed race, so please be aware of your surroundings. Dress for the weather!

Students will get sponsors to donate money towards board breaking which we then split to donate to the local food shelf and our Jose Muzquiz Scholarship Fund. We have had a blast the last few years and donated over a thousand dollars each year to the Becker County Food Pantry. This event is everyone’s FAVORITE EVENT! Please come support us!

Embrace winter with a walk through the woods. Free snowshoe rental will be available at the Tamarac Refuge Visitor Center every Sunday January & February 12:00 - 4:00 PM. Volunteers will recommend the perfect snowy trail. You can explore the visitor center, nature store, or enjoy a 2:00 PM nature movie.

The Vern Turner Memorial Bonspiel is a large Annual 3 Day curling tournament that attracts top teams from across the region. The tournament features a very festive atmosphere in the clubhouse that contributes the overall experience of the event. If you’ve never seen curling or are interested in the sport, come out and watch for a while, even if you’re not playing!
